The desktop is the game

There is no menu. There are windows. Every system is an app you open, drag, resize, and leave running: fishing in one corner, the market in another, the aquarium bubbling away behind both. Minimise the entire operating system and the fish keep biting anyway.

250 species and a very long index

Every fish is a pixel-art entry in the Fishpedia, filed by rarity and by the zone that hides it. The common ones fill the log fast. The rest do not. Fuse duplicates into things that should not exist, mount the trophies in an aquarium you actually decorate, and watch the completion percentage move one cruel decimal at a time.

It earns while the machine is off

Buy boats. Send them on expeditions. Come back tomorrow to a full taskbar and a report on everything the fleet dragged up while you were gone. This is a premium idler, so the offline earnings are the game, not a feature you unlock later or rent by the day.

Then you format the drive

Prestige wipes the empire and hands back a multiplier. Rods get rebuilt in the workshop. Rocks get cracked in the lab. Zones unlock, titles get earned, and the numbers get long enough that the formatter starts inventing suffixes for them.

    SYSTEM READY

    • A free demo. Play it in the browser, or download it for Windows.
    • The whole desktop, and prestige too. Dives, Fusion and the outer rings of the Pearl Web wait in the full game.
    • Paint and Solitaire come pre-installed. In the full game you earn them.
    • Plays fully offline. No account, no login streak to miss.

The full game is on Steam. One purchase, no ads, no microtransactions. If the demo got you, a wishlist is the single most useful thing you can do for a small studio. Wishlist FISH.OS on Steam

About playdata reporting: FISH.OS sends small, anonymous usage reports so we can see which parts of the game get played. Reporting is on by default, FISH.OS tells you once on first boot, and turning it off there is one click. Turning it off costs you nothing: everything plays the same either way. You can change it any time in Settings.

FISH.OS is compatible with your afternoon.
